David Joe’s Story
An acclaimed storyteller and motivational speaker, David Joe Miller has performed and presented programs all across the country… from schools, libraries and festivals to corporate board rooms and executive retreats. He has shared his passion for storytelling with small audiences in rural America as well as an audience of over 4000 at a campaign event for former Vice President Al Gore.
A native of Jonesborough, Tennessee, “The Storytelling Capital of the World, “ David Joe is a former employee of the National Storytelling Association. He created the Jonesborough Storytellers Guild in 1994 and has served on the Board of Directors of the National Storytelling Network.
With a passion for effective communication, David Joe has taught many business leaders and Fortune 500 executives how to use story in their presentations and how to build lasting relationships with their clients using the power of storytelling.
Using the application of storytelling, David Joe has taught thousands of elementary school students how to write better stories. In 1998 he developed a narrative writing story map that is still used in many North Carolina Schools.
